I'm not good in doodling, you can see it's a beginner workpiece I made for my iPhone home wallpaper.

ROAD TO JAPAN #roadtojapan

It has been a while I didn't write any stories in this blog. I almost forgot that I have a blog. haha

Anyhow,

Road To Japan! Are you excited? UTPian must be.

It is a program organized by 7 of us initially. It's started when the UTP-University of Tokyo Summer Program held in UTP, last August. In the midst of exam week, we're kinda going out places in Malaysia and do some activities together with the Japanese students. It was fun, and 2 weeks is really a short time. But we become close with each other in a short time. That's why, it's time for us to do a visit to Japan and meet them again.

Under the Global Enrichment Programme (which also the first in UTP), Japan becomes the first destination for this educational trip. More destinations yet to come, if this program is sustainable by UTPHost and UTP itself.

I'm currently having my semester break but I'm in UTP for a short of time to give a hand for this program. The interview for participants is around the corner, do come and try your best. It won't hurt just by going to the interview.

Hopefully this program will become a reality and for sure Japan awaits!

A big TWO ONE #Birthday

Life have been great so far. I wouldn't ask for more. I cherish my life and praise to God, always!

Being 21 is a real thing. There were things happened for a reason. Sometime it makes you more matured, sometimes it knock you down really hard. Sometimes it makes you happy, sometimes it makes you sad.

If you ask me what I wish for my birthday, I would say 'I want my mumy back' . Life is different without her. I guess God loves her so much. Miss her so much.

21 years old aint so bad. I know most people would say age is just a number, and by the looks of it, I'm totally agree. You will get old no matter what you do, just enjoy your life to the fullest coz time is precious.

A big thanks to amirul and ameer for the cakes. haha.

and thanks for the birthday wishes too on twitter/facebook/sms/whatsapp! Love you all so much!

Anyhow, final exam really are around the corner. Should get started with revision stuffs.

A trip to FLY FM !

It was the end of the semester, well almost the end, and we got ourselves days of holiday for Hari Raya (Eid Mubarak) and also study week. Yeah, final exam is coming up, and I don't really have the mood to study. What I can say is that, 'it's toooooo early to study man'. haha. My first paper will be on  the 30th. Plenty of time to enjoy and study for that.

In the meantime, have I mentioned about Medtech Mini Media Tour? It's a tour to Fly FM. More likely a trip. It was on Friday last week.


Have nothing planned for my holiday, I joined the media tour just for fun. Who wanna stuck in UTP with nothing to do? At least a day out from UTP, is enough.

Back to the topic, Fly FM was one of my favorite radio stations. Mostly because of Ryan Seacrest. Just kid around. But seriously, I didn't listened much except On Air With Ryan Seacrest, American Top 40 and sometimes, Music Revolution.


This was my first time going to Sri Pentas!

Arrived at Sri Pentas, we're greeted by two lovely girls who I did not catch their name at first. But they were so welcoming. They explained a bit about Fly FM before we start seeing the dj..

The trip was great. I have the chance to see how's the dj on air and off air, how they handle the technical stuffs, and so on. We're only met  Ben and Phat Fabes, but it's okay. They such a warm person, answering all the questions asked and really funny. I guess that what makes a dj.

Fly FM, till we meet again!

 After the tour, we went to KLCC and jalan-jalan there before going back to UTP. Everyone's doing their own things, so I tour around and caught myself eating a big bowl of fish ball noodle soup. Gosh, it was great, I might comeback there again someday. It was somewhere in the food court, I didnt remember because I was too busy om nom nom nom....

After all that, we depart back to UTP. Seriously I don't wanna go back, it's a dull life here because of people going back to their hometown for raya, and the cafes are not really operating. But since Im not going back home, thus the consequences I must face! haha

SEDEX Day 2 - Bronze is the new Gold

Spoiler alerttttt : We got bronze medal! yeah! Bronze is Gold for us already.. haha

I'm not sure what did happened during Day 2 of SEDEX because I have lectures from 8am to 12pm. I'm sure it was the same like Day 1 without any formal judging except some of the internal award judging session by the SEDEX organizer.

In the evening was the Closing Ceremony of SEDEX. I did come and witness groups having their award. My group, as you knew already, only got Bronze Medal. That is fine because there are 9 more group having same medal color with us. haha. Positive much? In the meantime, 11 ETP projects got Silver and 9 got Gold. Good job you guys.

Thank God SEDEX is now over. Bad news is we have to do the final report of our project and to be submitted to our supervisor before raya holidays.

UTP SEDEX Day 1

To be honest, it is my first time going to EDX or SEDEX since my foundation studies in UTP. haha. Referring to my previous post, my group was selected to be in SEDEX. Therefore, we accept the invitation and compete with another 29 ETP projects. We are not hoping for Gold medal, but near to Gold is great enough. 

First day was totally tiring. After setting up the booth, we're kinda wandering around to see other projects. Checking up stuffs and inventions. Go through some of Final Year Project by final year students. Most of the time trying to see what is happening during sedex. haha.

Judging time was great. All went great with the judges. I dont say we nailed the presentation, but we already done our best especially the presenter Qis and Youssef. At the end, I just hope to have a medal for the project. hehe

I was kinda 'busy' and didnt have the time to tweet much during the day, and I only snap few pictures. I forgot to snap pictures most of the time. haha

Tomorrow is the Day 2 of SEDEX. There's is a People Choice Award, dont know what it is for, but vote for US! haha.. its ETP 10.

Step Up Revolution

Finally I was able to go out and have some happy time with my friends. It has been months since I go out from UTP. Without a car, it's hard to escape from UTP. haha

It was also my first time going to AEON Station 18. It's located at Pengkalan and it is quite big than the other JJ at Kinta City.

Nothing much to do when we went there because we're only planning to watch Step Up. Bought tickets first and we have an hour before the show starts. While waiting, we went to the arcade and play some games. But I'm not really a big fan of arcade games though, so I just watched my friends playing.

Enough about that, let's talk about Step Up Revolution. This is the fourth installment of Step Up movies and my first to watch in cinema. Yeah, I have been watching the past 3 Step Up movies in laptop. No need to explain what Step Up is because I'm pretty sure everyone knows about it or at least read about it somewhere else. haha

What I love the most in Step Up 4 is the choreography. Not to say that the past 3 movies aren't that good, but I had to admit that they do it better this time. The stunts, clean moves, perfectly executed dance steps, and many more. I can only say WOW during the show.

There is no step up without the cast. Ryan Guzman and Kathryn Mccormick just awesome and seriously hot in the eyes.

and there is also no step up without some show off six pack and some sexy moves!

I'm a big fan of Step Up so I give Step Up Revolution a 4.7 / 5 rating. haha.

It is worth to watch if you really in to it. haha.. Gosh, I wish I can dance like them!

From ETP to SEDEX

Sometime, things happen for a reason.



This picture actually taken after our Prototype presentation during Pre-SEDEX. Remember I mention about Engineering Team Project or ETP in the last post? Yeah, this is the final presentation after weeks and weeks constructing our project's prototype. During presentation, I don't really sure what did happened, but it looks like we were having 15 minutes presentation instead of 45 minutes. haha. It happened so fast makes me think that our examiner not interested in our project. He leaves us with questions in mind.

Anyhow, after that, we just glad that ETP is done for the semester (minus the final report).  Shortlisted ETP groups will go to Science and Engineering Design Exhibition or SEDEX.

We actually really not hoping to be in SEDEX. There is tons of workload to do next week, and SEDEX is the last thing in mind.

BUT............for some reason.

my group was shortlisted with another 29 groups.

Is this a mistake? haha.. How this possibly happened?

and the questions start poping out..

I don't know if I should be happy or not. Anyway, always be grateful for the things that happened. It could turn out to be a good one.

I guess we will be presenting again our prototype next week during SEDEX........
